It is a treatment that uses the patient’s own plasma (separated from his/her own blood) to promote hair growth.

Treats hair loss, promotes new hair growth and improves hair thickness and quality; so the result is thicker healthier hair.

 

How it’s done:

The hair is numbed with a numbing cream, then the scalp is cleaned.

A blood sample is withdrawn from the patient’e arm using a special tube, this blood is inserted in a centrifuge machine that separates plasma from blood. Blood is discarded and the plasma is injected into the scalp using very fine needles, then the scalp is massaged.

 

Number of sessions:

Usually 3 sessions, 4 to 6 weeks apart.

Can be less or more depending on the case.

 

Pain tolerance:

Minimal pain.

 

Target areas:

Scalp hair, eyebrows, beard hair in males.

 

Duration of treatment:

40 minutes (plus 30 minutes for the anesthesia cream: optional).

 

 

Downtime:

No downtime, the patient is usually advised to avoid washing the hair for the next few hours.

 

Who cannot do the treatment:

• Active infection in the scalp

• Platelet diseases
